The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) 47-1, LLC presented Honor Flight of Southern New Mexico with a check for $1500 at a recent meeting. HFSNM board members gratefully accepted the generous check and extend thanks on behalf of the veterans they serve.
The CVMA has donated multiple times over the last few years and this year’s donation to the group’s Adopt-a-Veteran Program will make it possible for a veteran to travel back to Washington, D.C., free of charge to see their memorials. HFSNM extends a hearty thanks to the CVMA for their support.
Veterans from across southern New Mexico and the El Paso area are preparing for this year’s mission. The group will depart Las Cruces in the pre-dawn hours of September 30 to travel to the El Paso International Airport for their trip. They will be escorted to the airport by members of the CVMA on their motorcycles. The CVMA consists of veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. They advocate and defend veterans in a variety of ways, from expressing thanks and welcoming veterans home to working with veteran care facilities to provide basic necessities.
