The New Desert Harmony Singers are in final preparations for their 2014 summer concert titled Let’s Go to the Movies! presented by The Las Cruces Bulletin. Don Harlow, musical director, says, “This will be one the most exciting productions we’ve ever staged. All the songs have been used in at least one motion picture. There are movie songs going back nine decades, so we’ll have something for everyone!”
The concert will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at NMSU’s Atkinson Recital Hall. Tickets are $10 and are available from any NDHS member, at Hubbard’s Music-N-More, White’s Music Box, St. Paul’s Methodist Church, or at
the door the night of the performance.

There are also some hits from the 1970s right up to the 2012 Academy Award winner Skyfall from the James Bond movie of the same name. Others include: Eye Of The Tiger from Rocky III, Can You Read My Mind? from Superman,
Old Time Rock & Roll from Risky Business, Footloose from the movie of the same name, Up Where We Belong from An
